An Introduction to Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy & Learning

An experiential workshop for counsellors, therapists, mental health workers, teachers, coaches, psychologists who would like to train in the field or individuals who are curious about the benefits of EFP/L and who would like further insights into how it works.

No prior horse experience required. No mental health qualification required.

This profound experience is varied and interesting, covering both reflective work and more active approaches. A day of experiential sessions aimed at providing a small taster of what may be possible within this field and signposting the best way for you to move forward and be part of it. The LEAP Method of EFP/L is introduced and time given to discuss the field as a whole.

What is the refund policy?

Places are non-refundable as we keep our group sizes small. So please be sure the date will work for you before booking.

What shall I wear?

This is an experiential workshop and will be predominantly outdoors, so we suggest layers, a hat, waterproof clothing just in case and sunscreen in summer. Please wear sturdy boots or wellies.

Is lunch provided?

Please bring a packed lunch. Snacks and hot/cold drinks will be provided throughout the day.

Do I need experience/qualifications with horses to attend this event?

No prior experience or qualifications with horses required. No riding involved.

How much does it cost?

£195 + VAT 

How long is the session?

Each session is 6 hours long.

Please Note: These workshops will only run if there are sufficient numbers of bookings and will be cancelled if the minimum number is not reached. This is very rare, however, participants will be refunded in full if this happens.

Further Information:

This workshop is a pre-requisite for the  Crossfields Institute accredited Level 5 Diploma in EFP: The LEAP Method and the Level 4 Diploma in EFL: The LEAP Method. Crossfields is regulated by OFQUAL (the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

Attendance does not allow attendees to practice as an EFP and EFL Practitioner.
