LEAP Practitioner Training Programmes
The first step in training is to come along to a 1-day LEAP Introduction to EFP/L Workshop. Participating in this workshop is a pre-requisite to training with LEAP, regardless of prior EFP/L experience, as it provides an opportunity to experience EFP/L from a client's point-of-view, before stepping into the role of practitioner. You can book your place today by clicking here.
What is the LEAP Model?
The LEAP Model provides an integrative approach to EFL and EFP that combines both reflective and active elements to provide clients with an holistic and therapeutic learning experience. The LEAP Model is the result of extensive clinical work with adults, young people and children. Over 1000 clients have completed therapeutic and learning programmes with LEAP and countless more now with over 90 LEAP Practitioners in the UK and abroad. Our teaching team are all mental health professionals with extensive training and experience in EFL/P, they are all currently practising in the field with busy private practises and bring a wealth of experience to share with trainees.
The LEAP Model has a clear framework, providing practitioners with the tools they need to step forward into this work with confidence. The model is designed with creativity and flexibility in mind, making it possible to create therapeutic programmes suited to the individual needs of the client.

How is LEAP Training Different?
At LEAP we believe in high standards of training and regulation in the field of EFP/L. LEAP is the only training organisation to have received endorsement by the BACP (a leading professional regulating body in the UK in the field of mental health) for EFP/L Practitioner training as CPD (Continued Professional Development). We held this endorsement for four years until the BACP closed their endorsement scheme for all members. We believe we have continued to raise the bar for those working with the most vulnerable members of the community, by developing the Crossfields Institute Level 5 Dpiloma in EFP - The LEAP Method, which launched in June 2017.
We are commited to continuing to develop the professionalism on EFL/P and will be developing new courses for CPD and EFL training.
Unlike other training courses where you maybe in a large group, LEAP trains practitioners in small groups. This ensures thorough grounding in all aspects of the model and allows time and attention for each individual trainee. In our experience, entering this work is a personal journey as well as a professional endeavour and we aim to support each person every step of the way.
